  1. work on your legs, all your power from shot putting comes from your legs. but it is not just strength that makes you throw the shot put far it is quickness, I would work on some agility drills that make you faster. its all physics, that faster you are the more energy you can transfer over to the shot put when it leaves your fingertips.


  2. bench press, squat, alot of people use creatine to gain muscle quickly. lower body stuff will help you more. you should also work on quickness and pylometrics. quick shot putters with good technique almost always have better success then slow bigger ones.

  3. Go to gym. Work out abs, triceps, and biceps.
