  1. Start slowly - either in the bath or standing in the shallow end.   Cup your hands together and put your lips in it and exhale (blow out) as you get better start moving your hands down under the water lower and lower until your head is fully submerged.

If you continue to blow bubbles both through your mouth and nose then no water will go up it.  You have to get used to head up breath in face in the water breath out.  Good luck

  2. if you hold your breath water wont get in your  nose if you shut your eyes it wont get in your eyes and i dont think there is any thing to do about your ears

  3. Fear of the water is a good thing....in the sense that people who lack swimming skills are at much increased risk of drowning.

The best way to mitigate fear is to learn necessary skills that lessen the risk.  In this case, it means learning to swim.  Contact your local Red Cross, YMCA, or private swim school.  A properly trained and experienced instructor can help you gain the skills you need as efficiently as possible.

I worked at a pool for several years where the Coast Guard Helicopter Crews practiced their emergency 'wet exits'.  They had a mock-up of a helicopter seat with all the safety harness rigged to a frame that was placed in the pool.  The air crew member, wearing all his normal gear, climbed into the seat and strapped in.  With a safety-diver standing by, they then rotated the seat until the aircrewman was upside down under water.  They then had to undo their harness, open the side-door, and exit.  If they got into trouble the safety-diver would assist them.  I would expect you would undergo similar training for Helicopter duty in the Army.

This training was repeated over and over again.  Every six weeks or so the crews would repeat the training to keep it fresh.

Good luck, hope it works out for you!
