I buy all my spices on line at penzeys.   Everything is fresh.    I highly recommend it.

It depends where you live in Australia I use www.herbies.com.au or I go to any asian grocer. Most supermarkets also carry a lrage number of items in their indian or asian section.

My favorite spices and spice pastes are from Asian Home Groumet.  I buy them at the grocery store and at specialty shops but they do have online orders..

You don't mention which country you are in. If you do live in the US, I would recommend this site. They have a listing of sites that you can order from over the web

If any Chinese markets in the area they have many of the same spices used a lot of times and then you can check the freshness.
