  1. Try adding some fruit. I love to eat special k cereal with a sliced banana and lots of blueberries. Oatmeal is also a great healthy option. It is very filling. Take a snack with you to school to hold you over until lunch. I love to nibble on almonds or walnuts. Sliced apples or carrots sticks would also be great.

  2. Actually cereal is not that good for you. It has high corn syrup and has lots of artificial flavors.

Try some oatmeal, some scrambles eggs with toast, or an old fashioned PB&J.

  3. Oatmeal!

It only takes 90 seconds to microwave a bowl of oatmeal, and that'll stick with you all morning.

Also ... some protein is good at breakfast.  You probably don't have time for bacon and eggs (and you shouldn't eat that too often, anyway!), but a handful of peanuts, or bagel, english muffin or toast with peanut butter is great.  Peanut butter is called the "hunger buster" because it really IS filling.  Another protein option is cheese.  String cheese is individually wrapped and easy.

If time is really crunched for you in the morning, you could make a PB&J the night before and have that for breakfast.  I know people don't usually think of a sandwich for breakfast, but ... why not?

A piece of fresh fruit ... an apple, peach, banana ... you can eat that on the fly if you're running late.  Granola bars are good, too ... more nutritious than pastries like Pop-Tarts or donuts, etc.

It really is important to eat breakfast, though.  Don't skip it because you're running late ... just make sure you have some grab-and-go options for those days that you (oops!) oversleep!
