  1. It's set in America, isn't it?....I saw the film years ago.....around where I live in the Midlands, Great Britain they get called what they aspire to be - hoodies, chavs, goths, emos (at least that is what my son tells me)

  2. Teenager

  3. There are many options:

    -you Children

    -you Youth

    -you Kids

    -you Adolescents

    -you Teenagers

or even you young people/ones...i suggest you select the one which sounds best in context.

  4. Tax-deductions.

  5. Every English teacher loves "Up the Down Staircase" because the hero of the story is an English teacher.

Does she mean for you to modernize it, or just change it?

Chaucer is central to the theme. Maybe, look at doing it with Shakespearean slang...?

  6. adolescents, minors, schoolgirl, brats, imps, p*****n, teen, teenager, teenybopper, tomboys, peeps, homies

  7. Kids

  8. We use that word here in newfoundland !

I guess it's just where you come from. I'm assuming you don't want words like "kid" or "child" (because I'm sure you could have come up with that on your own :P)

I looked up synonyms for it and got these : tot, bud, innocent, juvenile.

Personally, I would stick with youngster, or kid.

  9. That sounds like a fun project, but first you may want to consider what kind of voice you want to give it.  Do you want a specific kind of dialect or to be from a specific group, click or place...Southern, New yorker, Appalachian, Surfer Dude, Hick, Hip Hop, Emo, Street...etc.  I only mention this because there are many different ways to say youngsters.

Here are some I can come up with:

    Children

    Kids

    Kiddos

    Chil'en

    Babies

    Youngins

    Teens

    Tweens

    Adolescents

    Bantlings

    Foundlings

    Imps

    Minors

    Nestlings

    Offspring

    Progeny

    Ragamuffins

    Urchins

    Youth

  10. In the UK it's "Youth" prounounced Yoot

  11. Most teens today refer to females as "Honies" or "Shorties".

  12. brats

  13. try kid

  14. bagets
