  1. Would have to go with 'dock', not sure if that is what you are looking for. From the vessels deck to the dock can be a long way and may need a gangway.


  2. a dock,it also depends what kind of ship if its a ro/ro ship,a car carrier,a dock isnt a platform as such,its actually the ramp from the ship to the dock how cars,passengers get off,hope this helps:)
