  1. in an address its like the zip code for u guys....u have a bigger country so u have longer zip codes.


  2. They are 4-digit compared to other countries.

    The first digit is different in every state. For example:

    Qld. - 4000 in Brisbane

    NSW - 2000 in Sydney

    ACT - 2600 in Canberra

    Vic. - 3000 in Melbourne

    Tas. - 7000 in Hobart

    SA - 5000 in Adelaide

    WA - 6000 in Perth

    NT - 0800 in Darwin

    The above are examples for street addresses only and not private PO boxes, which are a bit different. Hope this helps.
