Whats a primer (for make up)?

what does it do exactly?

whats the best primer (&price)? (urban decay ect.)

and also, what removes dark circles and little eye wrinkles?

Primer is used to help keep your foundation on and looking flawless.  Regular facial lotion works just as good as a primer and is cheaper.  I used Ponds facial lotion and it has worked great.  

If you use under eye concealer, such as I use Revlons Blemish concealer, also made to cover undereye circles.

Its supposibly supposed to keep your make up long lasting.

Primer is basically something that prepares your skin for foundation. It helps keep the foundation in place longer, fills in any little 'holes' or 'creases' in your face, gives your make up a smoother look, and soaks up excess oil.

Primers are all basically the same, the 'best' primer depends on what you are looking for : colour correcting, spf, oil -free, etc. So your going to have to shop around for that.

The link above will help you get started. It lists different types of primers for different things ( even nails, mascaras, etc.) It is easier for you to see a bulk of the original information than me giving you a secondary.

Removing dark circles around the eye would be getting proper rest, not stressing so much and getting enough of your vitamins. To cover up the dark circles some concealer will work. If the circles are dark try a pink concealer instead of a yellow.  

You can't really get rid of eye wrinkles unless you get them filled in. Either drastic surgery or realistically using some make-up, a silicon based filler. Apply it over the eye wrinkles being carefull to not get it into your eyes. This can come in a foundation aswell but is ment for older women.

a primer not only helps your makeup stay but reduces redness ect doesnt get rid of under eyes circles though

i use the laura gueller one i like it but the smash box ones suppose to be good

There are 2 kinds of primers, foundation primers, and eyeshadow primers or eye bases.

Foundation primers prep the skin for foundation by evening out the skin and minimizing imperfections (such as wrinkles). It also makes it easier to apply foundation and prevents fading.

Eyeshadow primers, or eye bases help eyeshadow stick to the eye, show up brighter, prevent creasing and fading.

Concealer doesn't remove dark circles or eye wrinkles, but it can help cover them up.
