  1. You need to go to all the centres in your area and view each one and spend at least half an hour in each one. Look for staff interacting with children, cleanliness, variety of equipment and the state of the equipment available for the children. Look at the notice boards for newsletters, information, qualifications of staff, evacuation notices etc...... Take your child with you, often they are the best judge...... Hope this helps.

  2. Mcdonalds playplace.

  3. chucky cheeses

  4. There are never enough science and math centers for the children. Like memory game, magnets, magnifying glasses and plants. Writing centers are great too. Have different types of tablets, paper, envelopes, pens and pencils. If they are older fours and fives have tape, staplers, hole punches and scissors.

  5. Another of the centers that is huge (non-dramatic play) in my daycare is blocks.  I was able to borrow a really good wood set of blocks and all of the kids I take care of LOVE them.  They all want the long ones (to build taller towers), even my 11 year old daughter plays with them.

  6. Housekeeping

Sensory table (water, rice, beans...whatever the teacher chooses)

    Blocks

    Computer w/touch screen and/or headphones

    Hope this helps!

  7. Drama center (dress up clothes, toy kitchen, etc)

Blocks (big blocks, Duplo or Legos, etc)

Sensory - such as a sand or rice or bean table

Writing corner - crayons, paper, etc

Reading corner - books, pillows and comfy chairs

Science/Math center - magnifying glasses, etc

Computer with headphones and learning games (if available).

Also things like Playdough. You would probably need to supervise this more and have it on a shelf with a "ask for it" basis. This of course depends on your class and how independent they are.

I also suggest "closed" and "open" signs. If you don't want them playing with something, have a closed sign on it. If you reinforce this they will learn that if it has an open sign they can take it out and play with it, if not they can't.

You'd probably want to use this to limit the amount of computer use as well. And set a timer so that each child gets a 5-10 minute turn.

    Hope this helps

These are centers for inside of a classroom. If that's not what you mean maybe you should clarify.
