The saw movies are more disturbing, than they are scary, but it could make you paranoid that it's real, if you get really into it. I thought the remake of the Hills Have Eyes was pretty good also. Gave me the chills, at least.

The Shinning is the scariest film I've ever seen, absolutely frightening. I saw it for the first time when I was about 12, it terrified me then and is still terrifying me 20 years on lol
