Whats a safe alternative to getting rid of moths?

cuz mothballs have naphthalene i ******* hate these moths

  1. Cedar blocks will also repel moths--most places will have them around their storage areas, or you can just buy a little cedar and cut it up to about the size of a bar of soap.


  2. moths absolutely hate lavender smells. burn some lavendar oil and they will not want to stay. move furniture and vacuum well especially around the edges of the room. if you use candles at night this reduces the amount that fly in, although some often fly straight into the flames.

  3. Go to your local hardware or home center store. Look for "Pantry pest traps" by Safer. I have used them in the past and they resolved my moth problem. They contain an odorless attractant for moths, the moths fly into the box, get stuck to the sticky walls and die.

  4. Use a shop vac to suck all of the moths out of the area.  Then use all of the other suggestions for prevention.  IDK about burning lavender, but several drops of essential lavender oil on a cotton ball, tucked out of the way, will work well.
