  1. What kind of recurve, traditional recurve or modern recurve.  With traditional, people always rave about the Black Widow.

Modern recurve, here are some of the top of the line risers

Hoyt: they only make top of the line risers nowadays, Helix and Nexus are both top notch

Samick: Masters and Ultra Agulla are their top risers.

Win&Win: Inno, Inno X-Lite and the Expert NX

Then of course there are the other lesser known companies like Matthews with their prototype riser only used by two people on earth (Vic Wunderlee and Brady Ellison), Spigarelli, Fiberbow, and Bernardini.

    Limbs,

Samick: makes the limbs with more gold medals than others, with the Samick Masters.  Then you have the Samick Extreme and Samick Extreme BF which are actually more expensive than the Masters.

Win&Win: has the Winex and the Inno Power at the top of their offering

Hoyt: just came out with the 900CX limbs, looks promising after a very long drought in quality limbs

Any of the equipments I mentioned will outperform any human ever alive.  When choosing which one is best, comes down to which one is best for you.  Some bows feels more alive and jumps out of your hand at the shot, others have a dead feel and just rolls over.  One feel is not better than the other, it's just up to you to decide which feel you like better.  I like dead better than alive, so I pick the Hoyt Helix for my riser.

Then it also comes down to the paint job.  I love anodized bows, also another reason I pick the Helix vs the Inno.  Anodized risers don't chip like painted risers.
