I always thought it was when someone spun you around holding one arm and one leg,that's what i call it when i spun my kids around when they were young.

I know a twirly as you put your tongue in someone's ear & twirly it around-my kids have always called it that. Silly as it is even though they are all grown will on occasion still do this. Have a good AM. :0)
