If its so warm I'll sweat in it when its 2 below...that's perfect!

I have a Columbia coat for winter and one from Roxy for spring and neither of them cut it last year...or ever really...

  1. I know what you are saying but you really don't want to sweat - the is the coldest thing of all. You want everything you are wearing to breathe and make SURE you are NOT wearing any cotton. Cotton holds moisture and you will be cold - especially if it is next to your skin.

Almost all snowboarding jackets these days are "shells" - just a waterproof outer layer that you can use alone on warm days or with additional layers when it is colder.

If you are always cold, get better layers to put under the shells you have. Try to keep the thickness down for each layer as you don't want to feel too bulky

    Syntethic underwear top (Patagonia)

Windproof fleece - these can often zip in to shell (North Face)

    Wool blend or fleece sweater

And the one BIGGEST LOSS OF HEAT that everyone ignores - wear a windproof fleece hat or better yet wear a helmet

    Good Luck
