  1. Not stupid, if you don't know, you ask. Very simple.  A weened baby is a bird that willl eat and drink on it's own and not want to be fed by either the natural bird mom or a caregiver that may have been hand feeding him.

  2. A weaned baby bird is a bird that is eating on its own and no longer needs to be hand-fed or fed by its parents.

I don't know what kind of bird you have, but depending on the bird, it may or may not wean at 6 to 10 weeks.

My caiques took 3 MONTHS to wean.

  3. A weened baby bird doesnt need another bird/caretaker to feed them.  They will eat/drink by themselves, without needing assistance.  Good luck with your bird :) they are a lot of fun if you take care of them properly.
