some good acoustic guitar brands include Martin, Ovation and Gibson. They're quite expensive but they're worth it because these kinds of guitars lasts for a lifetime and can be passed on to another generation so if you're gonna buy buy a good one.

Go to a MUSIC STORE and have the salesperson help you chose a guitar you like the feel of and that you can afford.  I no longer answer this question that gets asked on here 1000 times a week, because I realized I am not actually helping anyone.  The best guitar to buy is the ONE YOU LIKE... and only YOU can know that.

The best advice I can give you is: NEVER BUY ANY GUITAR YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED FIRST... and that is etched in stone.
