  1. I'm not sure what exactly but when I went to FL last year I had shampoo, soap, and lotion and they would not let me bring it on. I would check the there website to make sure though.

  2. If you bring any liquids, you've got to put them into 3 oz. bottle containers and a plastic bag.  I usually don't bring ANY.  And, I just buy toothpaste, shampoo, etc. when I get to where I'm going because I don't want the hassle at the airport.

Here's the TSA's website stating what you can and cannot bring onto your flight:

It sounds like a pain, but it's really not.  I travel a lot and it's definitely manageable.  Enjoy your trip to Florida!

  3. you cant bring any sharp objects or drinks but i think you could bring shampoos and lotion but im not 100% sure

  4. Here's a complete list from the government site (so it's definite):

I check it every time I fly since it may change from time to time. Enjoy your trip :0)

  5. The best and most up to date information is on the TSA website at

    http://www.tsa.gov/

In general: 3-1-1 for carry-ons = 3 ounce bottle or less (by volume) ; 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. 3 oz. container size is a security measure.

As far as other items, they have a page and a .pdf file that lists what's allowed (everything from nail clippers to explosives).

  6. The first answer sounds most sensible.
