  1. 10-11

  2. I would say 9:00 - 9:30 pm.

  3. My 14 year old goes to bed at 9, but can still read.  Lights out by 10 at the latest.

  4. i say by 10 im doing that myself

    elizabeth

  5. 9:30

  6. you should be in your room with lights out by 10:00

  7. 10pm

  8. In bed by 10 pm. That lets them get 8 hours of sleep.

  9. Well, I think it depends on the child. Like for me, I'm 14, but since I was 10 my parents said go to bed whenever you want, but I had to get up between 6:30 and 7:00 and not over sleep. They tried to whole go to bed at 9:30 when I was like 7-8 and I was up at like 4AM so they said no more of that. I usually go to bed around 12 and I have good attendance and have a 4.0 GPA.  My foster sister however who was 13 when we had her last year, had to go to bed at 9:30 because she was almost impossible to get up.  Personally, though if it didn't take more than 45 min to get to school let them sleep til like 6:45  or something. Why get up so early if they don't need to.

  10. I'd let them start selecting their own bedtime.  A few late nights followed by NO MERCY in the morning will get them to figure it out.  I never had a bedtime once I was in high school and I learned how to regulate my bedtime to what I needed within a short period of time.  Which means I had no trouble in college with this or when I was out on my own.

  11. 10:00pm

  12. I get up at around that time and have to be at school at 7:30 and I'm usually in bed by 12 something A.M.

  13. I go to bed at 10:00-10:30 and I had to wake up at 6 to get to school by 7.

    It worked for me.

  14. I would make sure they had lights out by 10:00.

  15. i am 14 and i get up at 6 for school

i normally try and get to bed by 9, occasionally 9:30.

I would say you should aim to be in bed by 9:15 to 9:45 in order to get enough sleep to do well in school

  16. I'm 15 and I usually try to be in bed no later than 10:30. I usually have to be up between 5:30 and 6 though. I always hated having a bed time, but once you get to high school, having a time that you should sleep around is a lot more useful than most think. Though if she/he has a lot of homework, help a little and let them stay up a little later.

  17. 10pm but i dont understand why they have to get up at 6:20 unless they pack their bags or need the extra time in the morning to take a shower, fix their hair etc..

i would get up at 6.30 or 6.50 instead to get more sleep

my bed time was 10pm but sometimes i would get so tired i would go to sleep at 9,and other times i wasnt tired yet and went to bed at 10.30

it depends if they go to bed late and wake up late,or can go to bed late and wake up on time

unless they have to walk to school though or catch the bus early i would make them get up a little later than 6.20

  18. umm I'm pretty sure a fourteen year old doesn't need a bedtime. In four years they'll be away at college, now is the time to start preparing a young adult for their future as an independent adult, who can choose their own bedtime..that's so silly.

  19. i get up at 6:20 for school and leave at 6:56

im 15 and i go to bed whenever i want to, lol

i am definately a night person, so last year when i was 14 i went to be anytime between 11-1 and woke up at 6:20.

i know thats not appropriate sleep time but it worked for me

  20. well i guess on a school day, id go to bed around 10ish. if i had to be up that early. i didnt really have a bedtime but i didnt enjoy staying up too late anyways.

on a weekend, i guess it doesnt really matter. as long as you get some sleep haha!! x x

  21. ok, i'm 13 and have to be up by 6:30 and at school at 7:10. my bedtime is 10:30, but bedtime really just means computer off and most lights out

  22. Why does he have to get up so early to be at school at 750?  Well, no matter.  I think a reasonable time is 9-9:30pm.

  23. I am 14 and I go to bed at 10 and am up by 6 and am at high school by 8:30!! Bus picks me up at 7:45!

  24. truthfully bedtimes suck but im 17 and still have one.

i have to get up at the same time and i go to bed at 10 sometimes 10:30

it really helps me with school

  25. when i was 14, i went to bed between 9:30 and 10 and got up at 6, i got a lot of sleep and was able to function well throughout the day.
