i have been thinking about what iam good at in school that i could have a career in. iam really smart and interested in science and i have and mostly all my classes for my senior year are sciences. i was thinking of a marine biologist or physics major but cant think of anything else. its weird though because i excel in science courses but iam in basic math classes. whats a exciting career in science that doesnt require someone to be extremely well at math.

  1. Many aspects of almost all science fields are not math intensive but, a good understanding of math is important because math is the language of science in many fields.  If you like more hands on activities, consider engineering (yes there is a lot of math required to get an engineering degree) where you can focus on practical applications.  ASM International offers "Materials Camps" where high school students can participate in hands on activities that provide exposure to metallurgy and material science carreers.  good luck

  2. Physics wouldn't be a good career choice for you because it uses a lot of advanced mathematics; Chemistry might use moderate amounts of it to a degree, but doesn't require the advanced maths like Differential Equations or Tensor Analysis, maybe small amounts of Calculus (I'm not sure). A career in biology or geology would use minimal mathematics.

  3. Chemistry and Biology don't use much math, you could also derive a medical career from that. Physics uses TONS of math, whether it's in practical form or quantum theory form.
