  1. Blame me. I drive a car for a living and have cut down trees. I eat meat and use a gas powered lawn mower. The consequences are, I live in WI and hope it gets warmer here so I don't have to move to Florida. If I use more gas powered engines and the ocean raises enough maybe I can have beach front property.

  2. The only factors we know are increased solar output and distance from the sun. NASA research shows ALL of the planets are warming in direct relationship to their distance from the sun. Except for Jupiter which is warming twice as fast - NASA's guess is this is from Jupiter's internal heat being added to the solar exposure.

There's been a lot of lunatics making up stuff about pollution causing global warming, but there's not one scientific report worth of support for this, just a lot of assumptions and hysteria.

What are the consequences? Probably not much. Less ice caps means more water in the ecosystem which means some of the deserts will turn into forests. More water in the ecosystem also means more rain, which means more land to grow food on. But, it also means the Earth will reflect the sun's heat better (It's called planetary albedo) so that will cool the Earth resulting in an effect which cancels the warming. The solar cycle has been going on for a long time and we're still here.

Who's to blame? Well, I guess the biggest person to blame would be Al Gore - he's the one who seems to be lying and spreading unnecessary fear the most. He is also the one who seems to be benefiting the most. As they say - follow the money.

  3. Lets see the earths average temperature has risen by 3/4 of a degree in the past 30 years, real scarry. Look everyone assumes that there is global warming but no one actually wants to take the time to research it. Tell me why the European Unions Environmental Ministers refuse to meet with Al Gore, or the fact that the public British School system has banned its teachers from playing Al Gores movie. Fine, make better effecient car's, recycle what you can, thats all good stuff even if this is a hoax, but don't ask superpowers to give there money to the third world countries because they did not cut down trees. At the heart of the global warming issue is people who want to redistribute wealth to the third world countries, which we give billions to every year. In time we will look back and understand this is a panic, like Y2K. In fact the hottest recorded years took place in the 1500's before they had carbon emmissions. Al Gore only made 30 million dollars last year off of this panic, what would you say to make that sort of money? Just do real research and see what you come up with.

  4. Why does someone need to be blamed?  If you accept the consensus of the experts the human race caused the problem collectively.  I suppose you could blame each person proportionally to their use of technology, but what does that get you?  It's still a problem that affects everyone, whether they were technology users or not.

I think there ought to be some accountability for George Bush and his Administration for the delaying tactics and the disinformation campaign, but that's secondary to the problem itself.

  5. Ski has one of the best explanations I have seen. Al Gore really is into all for the attention and to make money for himself and others.

  6. GW is not happening. Look at those that are making billions because of the hype.
