  1. Acura MDX RULES!

    Volvo is unreliable

    the srx:

Reliability has been much worse than average for the V8 and worse than average for the V6. The 2WD version tipped up in the NHTSA rollover test even with standard electronic stability control.

  2. The Acura has class, and will last you throughout highschool and college and maybe then some

  3. Jesus, I wish I was 16 today. I got a choice of a 71 Nova rustbucket with 260,000 miles or the bus.

EDIT: Stupid answers? Moar mudkips! BTW, didn't you already ask this question?

  4. I would say a Toyota or a Nissan. Safer and more reliable and they hold the resale value better.

  5. The SRX is a grandma car, its ugly, consumes way too much fuel and costs too much.

Try for the MDX if you want a sporty drive or the XC 90 if you want luxury and safety.

  6. The SRX is a ridiculous choice for a teenager. It's more minivan than SUV. Get the old 2004 MDX. I wish my parents had let me get an SUV when I was 16 (not that I'm complaining about my first car). During WWII my grandfather's Jeep flipped and ever since then, if you heard it from my dad, "every SUV will flip." Like the technology hasn't improved a bit in the last sixty years...

Anyway, get the MDX. It's great and way more reliable than the XC. Volvo is owned by Ford and the XC is more Ford than Volvo. I've heard pretty bad things about its reliability and it's getting a bit old anyway.
