Whats best time of the year to travel to the gold coast?

season wise, i want to be able to go to the theme parks so hot weather is a must but not to hot.. around 30 - 35degree's + no schoolies

of course November, December, and January. I once went to Gold coast in July. it was terrible because it was too cold to swim or surf

Go after school holidays in February and March or October and November. This allows you to enjoy the good weather without the crowds. You can also get better prices shopping around for accommodation as its off peak season.

Haha yes schoolies is terrible wen its not you but we had a great time wen it was ours.

id say end of spring beginning of summer then all over summer and then the end of summer into autum. best seasons for perfect days. however its winter right now and its so hot and sunny outside. but for themeparks etc what i have said above.

Personally, I'd suggest you go in late-August.  The weather is perfect (although a little cooler than you requested) at around 26*C.  It's sunny and warm, and the humidity is low.  However, if you go in late-September/October, it tends to be a bit more unsettled, and can be quite stormy.  I would never recommend you go in the summer (December through February).  Queensland's just a sauna at that time of the year.  Unless (of course) you like sweating like a pig in the humidity... then go for it.

Another reason I recommend August through to early-September (over January/February) is that it's not peak season; so queueing for the rides is not a hassle.  And I'd also suggest you go to the theme parks early- to mid-week.  Unless (of course) you really like crowds, long queues, and waiting, waiting, waiting!

You really have no other option but February or March it'll be around 35 degrees but humidity will be the problem it's usually  in the 70%-90% region.

October is always a good time to go, as the weather is starting to heat up, but its not too hot and most kids are still in school.

however, early march is also good to go aswell.

Wet n wild now have heated pools throughout, so even if u wished to go in winter- thats an option.

ive been to dreamworld in mid december and vowed id never do it again, due the the extreme humidity and the 2 hour waiting lines for rollercoasters.

Just as long as you don't go on a public holiday or school holidays, you should have a great time!

Avoid November for Schoolies.  December and January is school holidays and is likey to be busy.

October or February could be suitable.  September and March, may be suitable but it can be a little variable. some years good, some really average and some cool...

The best months of all for weather are October/November and March/April and September is pretty good too. It will be lovely and warm but not too hot, and less likely to rain than in the high summer months. Queensland schoolies are there from (this year) 16 - 25 November and in the following week there will be some from down south but nothing like the numbers during Qld. schoolies week.
