  1. It depends on how you want to run them to the amp

Assuming they are both dual voice coils, you have a lot more options with 4ohm than 2ohm but if you want to run at 2 ohms you should buy those since it'll have less resistance.

  2. How you load an amp determines the amount of power out.

There is a trade off though, the lower the impedance (ohms) the more power is pushed as well as higher distortion and more heat is generated. The excessive heat will shorten the life of the amp.

For best overall performance, it's far better to get a higher powered amp and load it with 4 ohms than a lower powered amp and force it to push more power with a lower impedance (2 or less ohms) load.

  3. Buy a set of dual 4 ohm subs...Run them a 1 ohm. They will slam..Look at the wire diagrams below

  4. 4 ohm, because you get more wiring options.

this is important when you want to have your amp putt out how much power you want to or limited it.

    Basically you have more options

  5. 2 ohm. Less resistance.

  6. i'd say get a pair of daul 2's because you can wire each sub in series which bring each one to a 4 ohm load then parrellel them to a 2-ohm mono load and your amp will run cooler.
