  1. Hiya,

U need 2 use a foundation which is perfect for your skin type - if you have oily/combination skin use a power, it will soak up the oils and leave u with a natural complexion If you have dry/normal skin use a liquid foundation.

As you want light to medium coverage i suggest you use a tinted moisteriser instead of foundation as it gives you a glow without looking caked in makeup.

    I hope this helps

  2. liquid foundation is better for your skin complexion you get less spots etc than you do with powder ones it also slows the ageing process of your facial skin paws

  3. I am not a fan of powder foundation. I think it looks cakey, and usually draws attention to flaws.

If you use the right brush, liquid foundation application can look flawless.

Look for a stippling brush. You can purchase them at Sephora.

If you are going to get powder foundation, I would suggest MAC's studio fix.

  4. Powder for normal skin with moderate oil in it.

    Liquid foundation for dry skin.

But both kinds are good. But liquid foundation melts in humidity.

  5. it depends on your skin type:

Liquid: tends to soak in better for a more even finish however not totally good for oily/combination skin or skin with spots as it tends to make the stick around longer.

Powder: i've found that powdered foundation usually looks more obvious and has a caked-on look. also it can make you look either very pale or very orange. not very good for dry/sensitive skin either. although the benefit is that it soaks up some oil around the t-zone.

Mineral: i think this is the worst type of foundation to use even though they claim it looks flawless and is all natural it still has the same properties as powdered foundation which clogs pores.

overall i would try out a liquid foundation from either mac, rimmel or bobbi brown but find exactly the right shade and instead of using the back of your hand try using the inside of your wrist where the colour is more like your face colour.

good luck and plz vote me best answer!

  6. i like liquid applied with a brush. but for the coverage you want id say just a powder, or a tinted moistuizer.

  7. It just depends, but sounds like you be using every day.  If the liquid foundation you are using you dont like, there are several different brands and formulas out there that might be more what your looking for.

Mineral foundations, give you a nice powdery finish and a lot of coverage and is very natural looking people, MAC Studio Finish going to make you look like you have a cake on your face.  If you want something more on that lines I would go with Lancome Dual Finish

  8. Liquid foundation can look very heavy so i would advise meybelline dream matte mousse for a light even coverage.

I personally don't usually use liquid, so i just use concealer on my blemishes and dark circles, or e.l.f. all over coverstick and then i'll use pwder on top,

i use both it just depends on the occasion

  9. When I use liquid foundation, it clumps a lot easier and runs a lot. I use powder just because it's easy to get it nice, even, and natural-looking.

  10. well i have used liquid and powder foundation but i think liquid is better because powder comes off very fast and you can totally tell you have foundation on

  11. Powder foundation is better for oily skin because it soaks up the oil.

Liquid foundation clogs pores, and causes breakouts.

  12. having used all sorts of foundation, i prefer a mineral powder foundation (like Bare Minerals). It gives decent medium coverage and gives a very natural look. I like how it doesn't fall into the fine lines and give a cakey look that liquids often do. also, its not messy and is easy to apply.

  13. i think that if you want a natural look, you should use a thin layer of liquid foundation with a light layer of powder using a large brush. if you only use liquid foundation your face will look shiny and if you only use powder it will rub off easily, as there would be nothing for it to stick to.

  14. i would def use powder.

the liquid clumps and looks like your using it. where powder is more natural and blends with your skin color(:

  15. Try the mineral powders.  They go on great.

  16. For oily skin, powder works nicely. I like the mineral powder foundations. They seem to be gaining popularity; I've seen more makeup brands coming out with them lately.. I don't use liquid foundation often; it doesn't feel as light as powders and makes me break out. When I do I apply it with a slightly damp makeup sponge which prevents it from going on too thick.

    Hope this helps a bit.

  17. I use the mousse matte foundation which is really good and then I put powder on top!

  18. MAC powder made me break out!! A pharmasist told me their makeup is full of chemicals !! Not a good choice ..

I like powder, its less pore-clogging !! and much easier to clean at night, and also when reapplying during the day (while at school, work etc)

  19. I dont think there's a better out of the too. I use a solid, cream foundation. invest in a solid cream foundation compact by Bobbi brown and you'll never look back. finish with a mineral foundation to keep it in place and stop you looking fake. but dont over-do it with either. L'oreal does a good mineral foundation. c x*x

  20. I think liquid is tbh :]

  21. I recommend liquid foundation.

Powder Foundation tends to look more chalky and uneven

Clinique has some great skin tone matching foundation that I love.

  22. Liquid is better. Powder can work but only if your skin is flawless. Liquid is much more forgiving to any imperfections!

  23. i use mac powder foundation (studio fix), and it gives great coverage without feeling like you're wearing too much makeup. if you have any spots you need to cover (uneven skin, undereye circles) then try using a little bit of their concealer first. i've tried so many different things and this definitely works best for me!

  24. As a professional makeup artist for over 20 years I highly recommend Bee Luscious liquid minerals or their new photo touch mineral foundation it is the most amazing product and you have the best of both worlds liquid to velvety soft powder finish. I highly recommend trying it. http://www.beeluscious.com

  25. If you have oily skin or large pore then go for the powder-- it'll soak up the oil and leave you with a flawless finish. But make sure whatever powder you use is a mineral powder-- that looks the most natural.

Bare Minerals is the best I've ever tried but kind of pricey, so if you're looking for something cheaper, than Physician's Formula would be a good choice. You can find that at your local drugstore.

If your skin is dry, then use a mineral liquid foundation... Maybelline's Pure Mineral works pretty well. I use to use that before I got Bare Minerals

if you have combination skin, then it really doesn't matter whether you use powder or foundation... as long as they're both mineral. (it'll say on they are).

I have combination skin and I use Bare Minerals Powder. I looooove it!(:

  26. both are really good. but don't use both at the same time!

i use liquid foundation. some people think that it's heavier in certain places, but it really depends on how you distribute it. you can use a make up sponge to make it more natural looking. with powder it's like applying blush (powder, not liquid) but to your entire face. the mineral kind is muchhhhhhh healthier for your face. it's a bit more expensive, but really worth it.
