Whats better, private or public schools?

i heard private school girls are b*****s and public school girls are s***s!

I went to private school until the 8th grade and then public school for high school, because there wasn't a private high school in my area.  It seemed to me that in general the kids who had gone to private school had a better basic education than the ones who went to public school.  The classes in private school are smaller by about 30 percent, so you get more personalized attention, and you're more likely to be noticed if you act up.  I can't really compare the teachers because I never met the teachers from the public school.

it depends on yout country.sometimes public schools are better than private. in my country private schools are better because there are stricter rules so students arent allowed to do stuff like drug dealing.they give you better opportunities for the future but its true tho that most students trere are r snobs:P

I go to Public school and none of the people are s***s. Thats just a sterotype. There should be no label like that. Trust me, its NOT like that =]

as for which is better, it really depends on the school. I go to a private school and its not that great...they tend to care more about appearances than the actual students.

Depends what you are after. In high school I attended a private school for 8-11 and found all they cared about was the students who's families belonged to the church the headmaster (and owner) went to, or if they donated a lot of money to the school or if the students excelled academically or musically or in sporting, so I finished grade 12 in TAFE. I have since learned that at my local high school on average each day at least 400/1600 students don't show up from school and the parents don't care and there seems to be a real slack attitude there, whereas that wouldn't be tolerated at a private school, so it all depends what you are after

if u have a good interes in studying u may but i prefer public if u are not vasting time money u may g to private also private have extra examinations

If one school is 15k a year, and another is maybe $300 a year, wouldn't it be obvious the private school is more exclusive, therefore more times for each student, has better funding, and is slightly under less control than public schools therefore more strict rules.

You can't compare Adelaide High with St. Peter's. There are maybe 10 schools in Aus at St Peter's level and they are ALL private.

Now, really. You are lumping everyone together and making big assumptions based on "I heard." You are an individual, just like all the other girls. You are not going to turn into a ***** or a s**t just because some others may be. There are bad apples everywhere, and there are some wonderful people everywhere, too. Your decision about private or public schools should be based on other things besides what you have "heard."
