Whats better 1 kicker solobaric l7 15" or 2 12"s?

id rather have 2 12s because of the way you can wire them, one sub is kinda boring too, not much you can do with it for looks...

with two, you can make a really nice fiberglass subwoofer box that looks really cool, a sub on each side and a amp in the middle....with one its just a sub and an amp....

also, insted of wiring one up to take all the bumping, wiring 2 can produce more bass and make it sound surround sound

any frequency below about 300 hz you cannot hear in stereo, therefor you cannot localize where it's coming from.  So, no surround sound or stereo effect from subs.  In fact, to get "surround sound" you need a processor and source unit specifically designed for surround sound.  Don't waste your time.

As for getting more bass from 12s or what ever that guy said, not so.  The amount of bass you're going to get will depend on your amplifiers, the enclsure your sub(s) are in, the efficiency of the subs, etc.  I could probably make a 10" sound bigger and badder then anything you've ever heard before.  So size and numbers don't make the system.  Knowledge, effort and application do.

As for what's better ... 15 or two 12s ... depends on you, your listening habits, space and money constraints, etc.  Personally I wouldn't get either, but if I had to chose, I'd take the 12s.   Seal them for SQ or port them for SPL.
