Whats better 2 Nvidia GeForce 280 or 2 ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2?

I wanted to know what is better:

Two Nvidia GeForce GTX 280's or

Two ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2's

No opinions on what comany you like better, i want to know which will out preform the other =]

The 4870X2 by far. Be prepared to need huge fans though.
