Neither.

A jet-ski engine is a very small power-plant. Since i do not know what you have in your ski i only base my guess on what has been offered and that is anywhere from 300-1300 cc's. Those engines could also be bored or stroke putting further demand on your internal components.

What is known as Dino oil (dinosaur), or conventional oil is typically refined fairly well. The leading brands which you have mentioned are not bad, they are just not good. Regardless if you buy the wall-mart special or the most expensive dino oil, the molecular composition will be the same . The molecular composition is something that no matter what can never be changed. Imagine a gym floor covered in 7 different sized balls ranging from a golf ball all the way to a beach ball. These balls are what float around in the oil and absorb heat. These balls i am talking about represent the molecular composition of dino oil.

Synthetic oil is made entirely of organic materials comprised from plants. Now picture the same gym floor covered in a bunch of golf balls. These balls all uniformly float around and disperse heat evenly throughout your engine.

A lot of "big name" oil brands advertise as synthetic but in reality they are not. They get away with this because they are a blend of synthetic and dino oil.

All of my skis are two stroke and I use a 40:1 mixture of Red Line Synthetic Two-Stroke watercraft oil. They also offer a four stroke oil but it does not specify it to be used for watercraft, so you might want to check with them to be safe.

Whatever the case, just make sure you use a 100% synthetic oil if you want to maximize you horsepower output. The price might be a little higher, but the gain in performance as well as engine protection will be worth it in the long-run.
