I have a Ruger 10/22 but my friend wants to sell me his like-new condition Savage Mark 2 for $85 (it has a free floating fluted barrell and 3*9-40 scope). Should i buy it and then buy a folding stock for my 10/22 to have for my jeep?

  1. $85.00 sounds like a steal to me.

  2. Of course buy it..... It doesnt and shouldnt be compared to the Ruger 10/22..... The Savage is a bolt action rifle and they tend to be more accurate than a semi-auto which is what the Ruger is....

  3. Good price on the Savage.

Don't get rid of the Ruger. Too many different toys out there that fit it.

    Go on...  you need it.

Least that's what I tell my wife.

  4. A Mark 2 for 85$?

If it's in good shape, grab it.

  5. Either is good.  Both is better!  :D

  6. Ruger 10/22 rifles are the best.  I own two myself.  Ruger has an excellent repulation for reliability and also for great customer service if you should need it.  There are perhaps millions of 10/22 rifles and parts are easy to find and affordable.  Also, as another poster put it, there are tons of neat accessories for the Ruger 10/22.  If I were going to only own one .22 rimfire rifle, it would be the Ruger 1/22.

  7. Buy the Savage! That's a deal and you will have a far superior target rifle. Maybe not as fun to "spray and pray" shoot like your 10/22, but much more satisfying if your goal is to actually hit the target.
