  1. The rechargeable batteries used in most digital cameras are much better than batteries you change yourself (usually only in the older cameras)

Pretty much all of the fuji cameras are good. I am sure you will be happy with this one.

you can get it cheaper here

    and at amazon

  2. charger.

  3. charger ones are better

    they last alot longer

and you dont have to buy countless batteries

    looks okay yer :)

  4. digital camera definately

  5. if ur out with your friends or on a trip or somthin and the battery go's dead u cant recharge it if you have 2 have an outlet so my gues is that the batteries r better i use Nimph rechargeble batteries they work great and last long and if they go dead just charge them.

  6. They both have their +ve and -ve aspects.

With a duracell type battery, they do tend to run out quicker, but the upshot is that you can buy these mostly anywhere or use rechargeable's.  Always having a set in the camera and a set that are charged.

I prefer a camera specific battery.  Mine lasts when shooting days, rather than hours.  There are the -ve on this as well in that if it dies whilst you are out and about, you can't just pop a new one in unless you carry a spare or pop it into charge

I am not sure why you have gone for a fuji, IMO you can spend a few pounds extra and get a canon powershot which gives you better optical zoom and other options.

Have a fun trip and enjoy whichever you choose!

  7. Buy one that uses replaceable batteries, R6/aa NiMh rechargeable 2500Miah or better, buy good quality batteries and a spare set and a decent charger, always keep your spare set fully charged, note, you can recharge these batteries when you like, you don,t have to wait for them to fully discharge.

Do not buy a camera that uses a built in battery, they can be very expensive to replace and always seem to run out of power at critical times.

Also check what type of card the camera takes, make sure it is a common one and has lots of capacity, also worth buying a spare one.

  8. trust me a charger is much more essential, you can go out and leave your battery charging, and never have to worry about purchasing batteries everyday, its affordable also.

but, never let your battery overcharge, the price for a new battery is very expensive, just becareful with your charger, its fragile.

    get a nikon, a nikon d40, d80 or the d50.

I love my d40 :) it takes the most amazing pictures ever. but the d80 is so much better
