Whats better a jetta or focus? i'm looking for a reliable fairly cheap car?

i've heard about the transmissions going out in focuses? or are there any other extremely reliable, economical, and under 5k dollar cars? i'm also interested in celica's, eclipses, and the newer tiburons

used VWs are not reliable

if you want a Ford Focus look at 05 and up avoid the brand new ones they made them bigger and less agile

celica stopped being made 03 and theyre around 13. eclipses maybe a 96 or something. i say a civic, cheap and reliable.
