  1. Notebook if you use it out of the house and if you don't want to play games in most cases. Laptops are also in general more expensive.

  2. Definitely depends on what you need it for, but here are some rules of thumb I use and have shared with my friends and family:

Do you need a laptop?  Sounds simple, but REALLY think about it.  If the answer is, yes, I need a laptop b/c I "travel every week and need it for my work" or "I know I will need to take my laptop with me for work/personal/school frequently to multiple physical locations" then there is not an option.  If you are NOT going to be moving your computer frequently, you can get more power for less with a desktop system.

Now, if the answer is maybe, here is where it is grey.  Laptops always look appealing, but make sure you need the mobility they provide.  They are more expensive, less powerful (you can get very powerful ones, but it will cost more) and have less features.

Make a list of your needs, verse your wants and it should be obvious, but answer the simple question first and honestly.  I know laptops look cool, but unless you are really using it for its intended purpose, you will not be happy in the long run.

Oh, upgrading, replacing, repairing are also WAY more expensive for laptops than desktop systems.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards,

    Joe...

  3. Depends what you need it for

  4. Home computers usually have more space and are cheaper. However, a laptop is a lot more convenient. If you are only going to use it at a specific desk, then get a home computer. If not, get a laptop.

  5. it depends on what you're going to use it for, but i like laptops better.

  6. Laptop all the way. Home computers cant move, and laptops can. Also, laptops can do whatever a home computer can do, so it is equal to or better than a stationary computer~ hope it helps :)

  7. personally, i prefer the laptop because of it's mobility.  it depends on how you will use it and how often.

  8. depends what its for but i say labtop you can take it anywhere
