Whats better... a speedo(tights) or a regular bathing suit??

If your into competetive swimming, almost everyone uses the speedo type of bathing suits. It reduces drag and makes you swim faster.

If you just want to hang with your friends at the beach, or just swim for fun, no competetively, you can get the regular bathing suits.

If your a competitive swimmer you can wear jammer (which is like trunks but tighter) or a brief (offenly called a speedo). These both will reduce drag and won't fall off when diving off a block. There are also suit that are made out of special material such as the aquablade and the fastskin, though these can be expensive.

But If you just want the hang out with friends buy a cheap pair of swim trunks at a department store.

For a swim team or doing laps in a pool, definitely go with a speedo or jammer. They decrease your resistance so its easier to move through the water, and everyone on a team wears them. For any other uses, regular.
