  1. Rugby.

  2. football is for poofs who are to wimpy to play rugby

    RUGBY!!!!!!!!

  3. They say footbal is played by gentlemen and watched by thugs and rugby is played thugs and watched by gentlemen. Having lived in a city where both are very popular I can only say that when both are played extremely well they are a delight to watch, but being prone to bone breakages, I have to say football is a more pleasureable and safer game to play. Rugby has alot of rules that the uninitiated can find confusing and their are alot more stops and starts than in football. But then when players get hit in rugby they don't scream and act like pansies as they are prone to do in football.

  4. ofcourse people are going to say rugby here...

  5. Football

  6. Stupid question. What's better - shoes or sheep?

  7. it depends what rugby your on about and what football your on about. I'm English so i know you're on about soccer

    my sports in order

    1)RUGBY LEAGUE

    2) NOT FOOTBALL BECAUSE IT SUCKS AND IS BORING AND PLAYERS GET OVERPAID.

why does no-one mention rugby league  it's way better than union e.g  yesterday Warrington 20 - 14 Hull (half time) and what would a rugby union game be at half time? 3 - 0 probably. and football at halftime and full time probably  99% of the time 0-0    boring!!!

  8. I was always a big football fan but last year, for the world cup, I discovered Rugby. It's really an amazing and fantastic sport but football is still the best for me

  9. Rugby Union... closely followed by League

  10. Rugby, no pads, nonstop action. You dont have the Crazy downtime of Football.

  11. To play - rugby

To watch - football (and I mean real Association Football)

  12. rugby all the time

  13. Rugby, it is far more entertaining and is followed by intelligent sensible people, whilst football is boring and watched by thugs most of the time!

  14. Rugby, football is for poofs

  15. Rugby definately, Football is full of puffs! :) in my opinion this is people!

  16. I am a Gloucestershire boy, so my answer will be obvious.  The joy of rugby is that whatever shape or size you are there will be a place for you in the team.  The disadvantage of rugby is public school pratts like Barnes acting as pundits.

  17. I prefer football for playing and rugby for watching but you are allowed to enjoy more than one sport. I also like cricket.

Maybe fans should watch the shortend versions of the games, 7s rugby, 5 a side football and 20/20 cricket. There's more scores and less rules which lead to more exciting games. If you enjoy them, then move onto the full game with more subtle tactics when you get to know the sport.

  18. Rugby

  19. RUGBY!!!!!!! if you want to see people get tackled

FOOTBALL!!!!!!! if you want to see football players get smashed to pieces( which football do you mean, america or english?)

  20. Rugby every time.

  21. Not sure if you meant American football or not, but either way rugby has no equal.  I've played all three sports and was never as proud of myself, as physically challenged, or learned as much about myself as with rugby.  It is a true team game of honor and respect.

Soccer doesn't have enough contact, Amer. football uses terrible tackling technique.  In rugby you have no equipment, so it's just you versus your adversary when coming into a tackle.  Fantastic game!

  22. Definately rugby. I finds football really boring to watch, and when they get hit theyre like babies! At least in rugby u have real men!! Rugby have respectful fans, football have hooligans!!

  23. Rugby always.

  24. Rugby is my  personal favorite. football has sold its soul to whining players... Just my opinion.

  25. RUGBY !!! i love rugby ... it's very good sport

  26. Why do people still ask this question?  None is "better" than another.  Are apples or oranges better? They are both fruit.

Rugby: Requires more all-around athleticsm and skill for every player.  Big guys and little guys have to run and be able to handle the ball.  Nowadays, in loose play, the distinction between backs (typically little guys) and forwards (typically big guys) is blurred.

American Football: Requires a great deal of physical power and play reading/learning ability and is a game of yardage, NOT posession. An NFL playbook is..well, a huge *** book!  Those pads are there because you get hit by guys who have already run 10 meteres and are allowed to leave their feet while initiating a tackle.

Soccer: Requires a great deal of endurance and skill specialized to soccer.  Not to mention field awareness.  The lack of contact does not make it "better" or "worse".

Now, let's all agree that basketball sucks...except in the last 3 minutes of a close game ;-)

If you like a sport, play it and watch it and enjoy it!

  27. I much prefer Rugby Union although when Everton is playing I have great enjoyment watching them

  28. Rugby League is far better than football,  even Rugby union is better than football.

  29. Being American I'd say football, but Rugby is a tough sport.  I don't really understand it.
