  1. I think, barring extreme circumstances that you haven't mentioned, that you should stay in school. If you finish high school, you will be better prepared for college. Even if you are pretty smart, you need to learn study skills that you will use in college. In college you have to work on your own; often the grade is based only on two midterms and a final exam. Also, the knowledge of certain subjects in high school will help tremendously in college. Someone who took chemistry in high school will do better in chemistry in college than someone who dropped out and never took chemistry.

Now, of course, if high school is somehow really detrimental to you, or if you are flunking out, a GED may be a good option. But make sure you look into continuation high schools, which are easier to pass in, and have fewer class hours. I knew people who went to continuation high school because they were expelled, but also people who chose to go there because of family issues that made it hard to stay in a regular high school.

  2. Finish school first

  3. At 16 it has to be a family decision. Why do you want to drop out? Is it because of other kids? Teachers? What is causing the reason to drop out of school? Are you just in a hurry to start college?

For me- i was able to take 2 years in one & finished school early (i was 16).. I them went straight to college. It was the right choice for me because i just didnt fit in at school- i was the  one everyone picked on. If i didnt take the two years in one i would have dropped out.

My oldest son dropped out, got his GED & went straight to the Army- best choice for him because in school- if there was trouble to be found he would have found it.

It can't be a cookie cutter choice- everyone is different.

***Also some schools won't allow you to get your GED unless you have been out of school for over a year or your at least 18.

  4. finish school, it will prepare you better for college and a diploma holds more respect from employers than a ged

  5. finish school. youll live better, and have a rep, that people will say, "ya she/he finished school." vs... "she/he dropped out of school, they cant be well educated."

and if u stay in school, ull get a better college.

  6. Stay in high school and then go to college. Colleges prefer to see a HS degree rather than a GED. If you don't like subjects in school now, when you get to college it gets better. You can choose most of your own classes, times, and professors.  You can do it... grin and bear it for a bit longer. Don't throw your life away.

  7. Finish school

Jobs and Colleges look better on a High School diplomas compared to a G.E.Ds

  8. I dropped out and I regret it in ways but think it was the best thing I ever did in other ways. First off I used to get into a lot of trouble constantly getting suspended and getting into fights ect, so it was impossible for me to get my education in high school, exacley why I quit and got my GED like 2 months after. I reget it in ways of not being able to complete school with my friends and going to MY prom, although I always said I didn't care I did after I didn't go because I missed out on those memorys. I do suggest dropping out to get your GED if and only if you have a simular situation or somthing worse. Also if you just want to quit simply because you don't like school, trust me put up with it, you will be thankful later. Im 19 almost 20 and I already went to college and going back agian to further my education.

  9. lol homez take ur lazy azz in finish school
