Mexico! Guatemala is very small, and it doesnt even compare with all the things and sites there is to see in Mexico. Although Im sure Guatemela is nice there is nothing like Mexico.

I never been to Guatamala but I love Mexico.

Guatamala's very small, Mexico is big and diverse.

I spent 6 months in mexico city, been there 4 times and 3 months in merida, yucatan.

well what r u lookin to do at these places ? just because guatemala is small doesnt mean there is NOTHING to do i have been to both and like them both the same ...guatemala realy makes u feel like you're in a different country just by the way they dress( and you dont even have to go that deep in to guatemala), in mexico everyone looks the same as you? and its not like if i go to the big tourist places in mexico couse i like go to "el rancho" were my mom is from and ppl still look like you there. so it all goes back to what i asked first . what do u plan on doing when u go to these places

Guatemala doesn't have any beaches that can compare to Cancun and the Riveria Maya.  So Mexico easily wins the beach contest.

If you like shopping for crafts, it's a toss-up. Both countries have great craftspeople.

Mexico has a greater infrastructure for catering to tourist's needs.  Tourism are a very large part of their economy.

The only area that Guatemala beats Mexico is in the area of Maya ruins.  Tikal is the most fabulous Classic Maya city you can visit.
