TWO DIFFERENT SPORTS ENOUGH!!!!

The people that keep asking this stupid question are probably involved in one of these sports & are scared of the other & are trying to make themselves feel better.

Shut the F#@k up already!!! That goes for everyone that will ask this dam question again, it doesn't matter!

"EXTRA" - This goes out to Eric M which I only assume stands for "MORON" listen if the best MMA fighter would go into a ring just to purely box he would get his head knocked off right? but he isn't a pure boxer so it wouldn't be fair for that to happen. So how would a boxer starting off the mat be fair? or fighting off the mat be fair? I hope that Eric "M"oron under stands this, they are different sports, I respect everything that both of these sports have to offer but you cannot in all fairness compare them when they have very little in common "Moron!

the watcher doesn't have to be so retarded. i think that an mma guy would win. i myself am a boxer for 10 years and a three time golden gloves champ. i also am involved in a local mma club for about 2 years and i can tell you that boxing is great but all you have  to do is get em on the ground.

It's kind of like comparing apples and oranges. They're both fruits, but they're different. I like each in their own way. Boxing because to be the best, you have to be really good with your hands (of course, you have to have great conditioning, be smart, and everything else that goes with boxing). To be a champ, you have to be a master boxer.

MMA because you have to be good at a variety of skills: striking, wrestling, jiu jitsu... In MMA, it seems it's usually the one that's better at a bunch of different disciplines wins.

Anyhow, both sports have their own appeal to it, and it the end of the day it comes down to a matter of personal preference.

Boxing is more recognize as an international sport. The Olympic won't recognize mma as a sport. Who is more famous Muhammad Ali or Randy Couture? Boxing is superior because it been around much longer. However, I would bet money on the mma guy if they fight in the street.
