Whats better on a spinning reel...mono or braided line? If so what would be the best brand?

i just bought a spinning combo. Now i just have to rig it... il probably be fishing 12-20 lbs test with it, around flats and taking it offshore some times for dolphin.

If you are going to fish for that I suggest using 20# fire line. I swear by it. And have pulled a 1000# boat backwards on a snag only to have to cut the line. Who wants to dive for a 10 dolla rig?

Braided would be better for what you describe - less stretch and generally tougher.
