Whats better specialized bikes or giant bikes?

It's a matter of preference...Each bike series is going to have its pros and cons. It's really up to you to decide. one bike from specialized may have better parts but that doesn't mean it's better.  Giant is the largest bike manufacturer in the world and it is pretty safe to say that anyone of their bikes would be a quality product. Specialized also makes nice bikes, so it's up to you to decide on what you like best and what fits your needs.

specialized because they are lighter easyer to ride and giants are just not as good

i know cuz i do bmx but i ride a formulla (they are one of the bikes you can buy)

If by overall, you are referring to the entire line, then Specialized is a little "better" because they make fewer low end bikes.  Giant is the world's largest bicycle manufacturer, and builds bikes under many different labels for others.

Back in the day, when I owned a retail shop that sold Schwinn and Trek, all of our Schwinn line except the most expensive hand-built bikes were made by Giant.

Specialized is a great company, but it doesn't actually manufacture any bicycles.  It designs and markets bikes that are contract manufactured by others -- maybe even by Giant!  See the link to an article below by an insider about where bikes are really made.

Dollar for dollar, Giant and Specialized models are going to be very competitive with one another.  Buy the one that fits you and on which you can get the best price.

I've owned several Specialized mountain bikes and a couple of Specialized road bikes and have been happy with them.  I've never owned a Giant (that I know of) but I should tell you that the guy who kicked my rear end in the sprint last night in our after work training ride was on a Giant TCR1.  I was riding my very expensive Italian made bike.  So it goes!

I tend to agree with Ben but I do sway towards the Giants though!

Kasye - Nice to have a BMX bike that weighs less than 2kg but maybe you should have your scales recalibrated!!

Specialized is wayy pricey, if you can afford it I would go for specialized.

But Giant bikes are awesome too, they have many models that compare to specialized's lineup.
