the OLYMPUS MJU 1200 BLACK has a 12 megapixel camera but with 3 optical zoom and 5 digital zoom or the OLYMPUS X-855 has a 8megapixel camera with 5 x optical zoom and a 4x digital zoom whats better

It really depends on what you want to do with the camera to which one would be best.

If you want to enlarge photos to A3 or larger then your best bet is to go for the MJU120 as it has a higher number of megepixels. However, if you just want to reproduce standard size photographs then I would recommend the OlympusX-855, as it has a much better optical zoom.

Consumers frequently measure the quality of a camera by the number of megapixels, which is a mistake. With anything above 7 megapixels is very difficult to notice the difference with the naked eye. It is usually best to take into account the zoom and lens on cameras as well.
