Pokemon is good for beggeners, and Yugioh is good for people with a little more expierience.

It depends on what kind of game you're looking for.

If you have a local card-shop where you live it would be best if you called them or went in and asked what cardgames are most popular there, and how frequently they have tournaments for the various types, etc.

If you're really into trading then Pokémon is your best bet, with probably Yuhgioh in second.

I don't know very much about Duel Masters or Digimon, but if you like them, then go for them if there are enough players at your local card/game -shop.

If you want a technical game that has lots of backstory, and the majority of EVERYONE geeky plays, pick up Magic. The other advantage to it, is that you are less likely to grow out of it over time.

As faur as price is concerned, they are all quite expensive games to play, or at least getting started, if you want to build your own decks and stuff. Some shops give out free land (for Magic) or energy (for Pokémon), especially during Booster Drafts, but I don't know about the other games you mentioned.

Poke mon in its first couple of seasons after that it got lame and then i would have to say yu gi oh took over but not gx...gx sucked....

Then again pokemon has been running for like ten years so how could you argue with that!!

oh but naruto totally took everything over!!
