  1. Not sure about the Cheap one. Maybe cheap labour - no minimum wages there...

The more expensive stuff in S'pore: house (accomodation in any form), car (in any form).

  2. come and see for yourself lah..

  3. You must really mention what products or services you have in mind, that interest you. Narrowing them down allows for more detailed and useful answers.

Anyway, let's just say that properties, rents, water crafts, car ownership, education, tuition, health care, and branded goods are very expensive compared to most parts of Asia, except the capital and larger cities.

You can get cheap clothes, watches, perfumes, MP4s, jewelries, stationery, bikes, kitchen wares, bags, printers, DVD players and thousands of other things. You need to read the offers in the daily papers and shop around a great deal to get a very good picture. As we get reasonably-priced goods from China, India and all over the world, you may say that we are a haven for shopping--both for the rich or the poor. And lastly food sold at hawker centres, coffee shops,fast-food restaurants  and food courts are relatively cheap--S$2 to S$8 for an ordinary meal-- compared to bigger restaurants which may charge anywhere from $10 to $50 for certain meals.
