  1. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Jobs/T...

    Good luck!

  2. Heaps of jobs available, money not to bad, depends on your experience and what company you with, the country does not have enough class 5 drivers.

    Avoid Te Kawahuta Transport.

Halls Refrigeration transport I've heard are good.

J.Swap contractors are good(bulk truck and trailer tippers)

What experience do you have? I could possably find you a some jobs if you would like.

I am self employed relief driver for about 15 different company's, and know of many company's that are looking for full time drivers

  3. Hi

Depending upon your experience and safety record,

driving can be a quite lucrative.  There is a shortage of professional drivers and the demand for truck drivers will increase over the next five years or so as drivers retire.

If you are just starting out you need to be patient and willing to start at the bottom (drive an older, smaller truck or do the runs no one else wants).  With experience, if you prove yourself and get a reputation as a conscientious, reliable, and safe driver, you will move up the line and eventually be able to select the driving job you desire.

To tell you which companies are good and which are not so good is difficult without knowing the location you are in.  I have heard good and bad about a lot of transport outfits.  I just don't feel comfortable listing their names on a public forum like this.

Please realize that most transport operators will check you out and check your references.  Many will give you a driving skills test and some will assign a supervisor/mentor to ride and observe your driving ability.  Good luck.
