It's similar to Ebay but without the bidding. You can sell items for a set price but some people will try to haggle with you or you can buy items and try to haggle other people to lower the price. I always meet in a public place when selling or buying and I don't give out my phone number. I'm to paranoid.

Craig started a website where people could advertise rooms or apartments for rent.  And stuff you wanted to sell.  Now it's a great place in all major US cities to find a place to live or buy a car. craigslist.org. /

craiglist has places to put up ads of things for sale and wanted items, but it also has personals, discussion forums, and a rants and raves sections where you can truly find the lowest common denominator shooting their mouths off.
