Whats difference between dollars and pounds?

well I'm planning on traveling to london england and well the differences in the money confuses me A bit I need someone to kind of explain it.I'm really sorry that I don't know I'm only 16 so I'm pretty stupid lol

  1. Right now, for every 2 dollars, you will get 1 pound.  Not exactly though but close enough.  There is an exchange charge, maybe 1 or 2%.  Don't change money at the airport or train station, go to a bank because they will charge less.  For instance, if the rate is $1~1.98 pound, you'll get $1~1.93 or something like that.

    I'll just add that there are 100 pence to the £,  just like there are 100 cents to the $,

    so 5p (pence) is worth about 10c (cents) - easy!!

    Just be aware that the McDonalds and Burger King burgers are a lot smaller!
