Whats east sussex like?

Is it a nice place? What are the best areas? Whats the crime rate? Whats YOUR opinion?

It is bloody brilliant! I live in Brighton but work out in the country about 10 miles from brighton.

Crime rate depends on areas. Brighton is probably highest crime area as all the clubs etc here. The local free paper, the leader, recently published a massive report with a colour coded map of sussex crime, list of how many different crimes in each area etc which you might be able to get on their website??

Area surrounding brighton is really beautiful (south downs is my favourite)

Brighton beach is a bit dirty compared to a lot of beaches (and pebbles not sand which is a shame)

Loads to do, city and country (nice to be able to experience both)

I would love to find work here after finishing uni and set up home here

Its very green - I've only spent a few days there so I'm no expert, but from what I saw it was beautiful.

Overall it's a beautiful county with some fantastic scenery such as the South Downs, Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters, Ashdown Forest.

As for the best areas, it depends on what you're after, we have all sorts here. Crime again it depends on where you are but I don't think it's worse than anywhere else.

I've lived in here for 18 years now and have no regrets.

I moved from Kent to East Sussex two years ago. We live in a rural part of the county. I would never move away. I love it. Theres everything you want and need.

countryside - seaside - big towns- little old towns - great dining - entertainment etc.

HELLO ,I LIVE IN EAST SUSSEX in a village near Rye ,if your talking hastings, some places are nice , but the rest not so good, the country side and woods are wonderful in spring when the blue bells are out , in my village there are 5 quaint pubs ,all with wonderful gardens in the summer , i love where i am , and love Rye town which is a cinque ports ,
