Whats faster, an Audi 1.8T w/ chip or a 3.0?

Question

I was interested in getting a 2003 Audi 3.0L over the 1.8T. Now, the 1.8 is much easier to get faster since it has a turbo, and the 3.0 would have to be supercharged to upgrade it. So, my question is, since adding a chip to the 1.8 would make it quicker, what is faster and overall better, a 1.8 with a chip or a 3.0 stock?

I would definitely go with the 1.8t cuz its easy to modify and very fuel efficient...and hopefully you go with the stick cuz its h**l a fun to drive!!
