i just found out i'm pregnany all but a week ago. And about 2 days after i found out, i woke up to an EXTREME abdominal cramp. LIke excruciating. I laid down on the bathroom floor, broke out in a cold sweat....and about 5 minutes later it was gone. No bleeding...and no SEVERE pain since then. just average cramping. Has anyone else experienced this in their pregnancy?

  1. Did the cramping feel like a period cramp? If so this is normal your body has been use to having periods every month and then you fall pregnant i had this all through my 3 pregnancies.Hope this has helped.

  2. Go see your O.B. ... your in progress on some case

  3. This also happened to me, and it was a miscarriage. First the cramping, then a little spotting...but who knows, if you have no bleeding, you might be able to carry to term. You really should get another doctor though, who will be more supportive.

  4. at the beginning of my 2nd pregnancy i got pains so bad that i hit the floor crying. it lasted a few hours. i thought i was having a miscarriage but there was no blood. i was rushed to the emergency room. they did a transvaginal ultrasound, and after looking at it the 3rd time, discovered that some of the cysts on my ovaries had burst, and this was what had caused the pain. i had a follow up ultrasound a week later and everything was fine. the cysts were not bad ones, they are there to support the pregnancy. this might have been what happened to you.

  5. Yes in the very beginning I used to get them every morning. I'd get up and be walking around and then be bent over in pain. It would just be bad for maybe a few minutes and I'd be fine. I thought something was seriously wrong, I'd had one miscarriage so I thought I was going to have another one. But the doctor couldn't find anything at all. That was two months ago and I haven't had any problems at all sense.

  6. I would call the doctor again or go to the hospital.  It could be ligament stretching or growing and pressure.  You could have a ovarian cyst.  I had one at 9 weeks, and it was painful.  It could also be a ectopic pregnancy.  So you really need to call your doctor back or go to the ER.  Because something could be serious.

  7. It could be more implantation, I've had just slight crampiness, and tenderness, but I would call the doctor because I don't think severe pain is ever normal, that could be a sign of miscarriage/

  8. As long you don't have heavy bleeding then is not miscarriage. I had a similar situation, but I also had bleeding spots. It happen during the time when I was suppose to have my monthly period. I believe is normal. Your body recognize that monthly cycle and is trying to adjust. But remember every woman is different, and sometimes some symptoms can represent something else for you. Trust your instinct, trust your body, and for your peace of mind trust your doctor. They can always do an ultrasound to make sure everything is good.. I believe your insurance should cover at least 3 ultrasounds during pregnancy.  Good luck.

  9. Pain like you describe is not normal and must be reported to a doctor at once.  Please go to your regular doctor or the emergency room.  Better to be safe than sorry.

  10. Girl you may want to check with ur OB but I would say its completely normal I had the worst possible cramps ever ....to where I was crying and I didnt think that I could go through with the pregnancy. IT HURT SO BAD!! But my mother told me that it was normal and it was just my ligaments stretching to prepare for baby. And the doctor said the same, as long as there is not any bright red bleeding or like very severe abdominal pain. I'm a drama queen anyways, but I also have a high pain tolerance..But anyways the first couple of weeks were not joyous to me. CONGRATS LADY!!!

And if you are not comfortable with just waiting go to your doctor, just to ease your mind. I danced too hard at the club once and the next day I had bad bad cramps, I called my Dr. office and they got me in that day immediately..

  11. Call your doctor to make sure, but I thinks it's normal as long as there's no bleeding! Congrats on your pregnancy! I just got my BFP Wednesday!
