If the media wouldn't give the shooting the constant coverage they do  I guarantee there wouldn't be as many as there are.  These people are wanting the notoriety and airtime.

Though it may be good that people know what is going in the news, networks do not need to give the shooters any face time.  There is no need to name the shooters, no need to give the life story of the shooter like you see all the time, no need to psychologically analyze the shooters on air, no need to make made-for-television movies about he shootings.  Give the shooters no air time at all and I guarantee you there will be a decline in the number of shootings.  That is all they want, the notoriety.

It's all very sad and I agree that people need to know what is going on.

The problem starts at home, parents indulging their children, social workers sticking their oar in and no discipline.

Schools are unable to discipline children (young adults) for fear of being sued for assault or molestation.

The courts are too lenient on young thugs.

I don't know the answers, but I firmly believe that discipline and good manners should be taught from the cradle.
