Whats going on with my 11 year old sister ?

Well my sister is 11, which makes me older.

She recently announced she has a boyfriend, when ever he comes round after school they go straight to her bedroom, instead of the study.

He's 13, and is the "cool" one in there school.

My mom says she's growing up, and she will be fine.

Should i talk to her about this?

Or let her find out things on the way?

Thanks.

  1. I don't want to sound rude but maybe she just thinks that it's cool to have a boy friend.11 does sound a little young to go off by herself with a boy. Try to talk to her. If you really can't find out what is happening, do a little spying. If she is kissing a boy 2 years older than her, something needs to be done.

  2. I say you sould do your role as a big sister and talk to her about health relationships.:)

  3. You never know what they could be doing there, like kissing or something!? It's kind of weird, I wouldn't allow boys in my bedroom unless I were older and so was he. Try talking to your sister, and ask her what's been going on, I'm sure she'll tell you! Good luck! :-) x

  4. Your mom doesn't seem see anything wrong with this, but it might be a good idea for you to say a few helpful words to her.  Maybe she'll be more acceptiing of advice from you than from your mom.

  5. Your mother isn't being realistic. She needs to set some boundaries like: No boys in her bedroom, period.

Growing up is one thing, growing wild is another. She needs guidance. If you think you can be helpful, talk to your sister. I don't know how old you are but you sound like you are a bit more wise than your mom, so you may have to do some of the parenting mom is not doing.

  6. Well, you didn't mention your age. If you want, talk to your sister about it and you'll feel better.
